Man stabs 3 people at Swiss Winterthur train station

JAKARTA - A stabbing attack injured 3 people at a train station in the city of Winterthur, Switzerland, Thursday, May 28.

Citing AFP, a man suspected of stabbing with a sharp weapon (sajam) was arrested.

Zurich regional police said in a statement that the attack occurred around 8.30am local time.

According to the police, the motive of the Swiss suspect, who is 31 years old, is still under investigation.

The three victims - all Swiss citizens, aged 28, 43, and 52 - have been treated after being taken to hospital.

The city of Winterthur has a population of around 123,000 and is located in the northeast of Switzerland, near the country's largest city, Zurich.
