Jabodetabek Weather Thursday, May 28: Jakarta Cloudy, Bogor Heavy Rain

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that the weather in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas on Thursday, May 28, will be dominated by cloudy conditions to light rain. Rain is expected to occur during the day and night in a number of buffer areas of the capital.

The DKI Jakarta region is predicted to experience sunny cloudy weather in the morning. However, light to moderate rain is potentially falling in South Jakarta and East Jakarta in the afternoon before evening. The air temperature in Jakarta ranges from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity reaching 70-96 percent.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is expected to experience moderate to heavy rain since noon, especially in the Bogor Regency, Cisarua, and Puncak areas. Rain is potentially accompanied by lightning and strong winds. The air temperature in Bogor is in the range of 20-27 degrees Celsius with high humidity levels.

In the Bekasi area, the weather is predicted to be cloudy in the morning to afternoon before light rain falls in the afternoon and evening. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius. BMKG urges the public to be aware of the potential for waterlogging and slippery roads due to rain during rush hours.

The Tangerang and Depok areas are also predicted to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon and evening. The humid weather condition is still influenced by atmospheric activity in the western Java region which supports the growth of rain clouds.

BMKG asks people who are active outdoors to prepare umbrellas or raincoats and continue to monitor the latest weather information to anticipate weather changes that may occur at any time.
