Polres Kepulauan Seribu distributes sacrificial animal meat to residents of the islands 

JAKARTA - The Kepulauan Seribu Police cut 21 cows and 16 goats for sacrifice at the Eid al-Adha celebration in 1447 Hijriah.

The meat of the sacrificial animals will later be distributed to the public in a number of populated areas in the Thousand Islands region.

"The distribution of sacrificial animals is carried out as a form of sharing happiness and strengthening harmonious relations with the community," said the Head of the Thousand Islands Police, AKBP Argadija Putra, Wednesday, May 27.

The Police Chief said Eid al-Adha is an opportunity to increase the value of sincerity, sacrifice, and social concern for one's fellow man.

"Through this sacrifice activity, we want to share the benefits and happiness with the community," he said.

He added that the spirit of Eid al-Adha further strengthens the relationship, togetherness, and closeness between the National Police and the community.

"The momentum of Eid al-Adha is used to strengthen social relations and increase spiritual values and social concern," he said.
