PGN Corporate Secretary, Fajriyah Usman, said that the decision to maintain the dividend payout ratio (DPR) at 80 percent reflects PGN's commitment to balancing the provision of returns to shareholders and the sustainability of long-term business growth.
"The dividend payout ratio to shareholders of 80 percent also reflects the Company's confidence in the quality of cash flow, financial discipline, and the fundamental strength of PGN's business amid the dynamics of the global energy industry," said Fajriyah, Tuesday, May 26.
According to Fajriyah, PGN will continue to maintain a consistent dividend policy while maintaining financial flexibility to support the agenda for the development of national infrastructure and natural gas business.
PGN assesses that the fundamentals of the domestic natural gas business still have a positive long-term outlook as the national energy demand increases and the role of natural gas as a transitional energy. The company also continues to maintain operational reliability through the adaptive management of pipeline-based gas and LNG portfolios, infrastructure optimization, and operational and financial efficiency.
"In the future, PGN will continue to implement a prudent growth strategy while maintaining financial discipline and long-term value creation for shareholders," said Fajriyah.
In this year's RUPST, Shareholders also approved a number of the Company's strategic agendas, including the use of net profit, changes to the articles of association, the appointment of auditors, as well as business development and corporate governance agendas.
