BMKG Predicts Bogor Will Be Hit by Heavy Rain, Jakarta Will Follow in the Afternoon

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that most of the areas of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) will experience cloudy weather to light rain on Tuesday, May 26. Rain is expected to fall during the day and night in a number of areas.

The DKI Jakarta region in the morning is predicted to be sunny and cloudy. However, entering the afternoon to evening, light rain has the potential to rain on South Jakarta and East Jakarta. The air temperature in Jakarta ranges from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity reaching 70-95 percent.

Meanwhile, the Bogor area is predicted to experience moderate to heavy rain, especially in the Bogor and Puncak Regency areas. Rain is predicted to fall from afternoon to evening and potentially accompanied by lightning and strong winds. The air temperature in Bogor is in the range of 21-27 degrees Celsius with high humidity levels.

In the Bekasi area, the weather is expected to be cloudy in the morning before light rain falls in the afternoon to evening. The air temperature ranges from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius. BMKG urges the public to be aware of waterlogging and slippery road conditions when it rains during rush hour.

The Tangerang and Depok areas are also predicted to experience light to moderate rain in the afternoon. The humid weather condition is still influenced by atmospheric activity in the western Java region which supports the growth of rain clouds in the last few days.

BMKG asks people who are active outdoors to prepare umbrellas or raincoats and continue to monitor weather information to anticipate weather changes that may occur at any time.
