Israeli Attack Kills 2 in Southern Lebanon, 10 Others Injured

JAKARTA - Two people, including a paramedic, were killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon, and ten others were injured.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Sunday, May 24, that 28 people were killed and injured as a result of Israeli attacks in Lebanon over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 3,151 and the number of injured to 9,571.

"Israeli airstrikes targeted the Arab-Salim settlement in the Nabatiyeh area, killing two people, including a paramedic, and injuring 10 others, including two paramedics from the Islamic Committee and four paramedics from the Islamic Risala Scout Association," the statement said, quoted by ANTARA from Sputnik, Monday, May 25.

The Israeli attack also destroyed a civil defense center in the city of Nabatieh, the ministry said, adding that there were no rescue workers in the building at the time of the attack.

The Israeli army launched a series of massive airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday. The intensive attacks continued on Sunday (24/5).
