iCar V23 SUV Prime Delivery Starts in the Second Quarter of 2026

PT Chery Group Indonesia moved quickly after officially launching a boxy-style electric SUV, iCar V23, in the Indonesian market on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The company ensures that the first delivery to consumers will begin in the near future.

President Director of Chery Group Indonesia Zeng Shuo, said consumers do not need to wait long to receive the vehicle unit. The company targets the initial distribution to be carried out in the second quarter or early third quarter of 2026.

"The first delivery will start from Q2 or early Q3 (around June or July 2026)," Zeng told reporters at PIK 2, last weekend.

He explained that the readiness of the shipment was supported by the local assembly process with the completely knocked down (CKD) scheme that was already running in Indonesia. This strategy was carried out to accelerate the supply of units while meeting domestic market demand.

In addition to supporting the acceleration of distribution, the local assembly step is also considered capable of making vehicle prices more competitive in the national electric car segment. "This is not a pre-booking or something like that, this is an official launch," said Zeng.

"We are grateful for the appreciation of the Indonesian people. The price we set is based on many inputs and hopefully many people can enjoy this iconic product," he continued.

For information, iCar V23 carries a boxy SUV design with a modern touch. This car is available in two drive system options, namely RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) and iWD (Intelligent Wheel Drive).
