Saudi Arabia Announces Operational Readiness for Departure of Pilgrims to Mina

JAKARTA - The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced its full readiness for the implementation of Tarwiyah day by ensuring that all field and operational preparations for the departure of pilgrims to Mina have been completed, reported SPA on Monday.

Tarwiyah Day (8 Zulhijjah) is the first day in the series of Hajj rituals and is one of the important stages in the entire series of Hajj rituals. On this day, the pilgrims perform the hram (intention of Hajj) and depart from Mecca to Mina to spend the night (mabit) and perform the obligatory prayers until the next morning.

As reported by ANTARA from SPA-OANA, Monday, May 25, the readiness includes an integrated logistics framework designed to optimally regulate the movement of pilgrims to their tents and monitor the quality of services throughout the holy area, through close coordination with all related agencies.

The ministry's operational tasks include monitoring the movement of pilgrims from accommodation to Mina, ensuring the smooth entry into the camping area, providing continuous guidance, and helping pilgrims find the locations that have been determined according to the official operational plan for the 1447 H Hajj season.

As a form of proactive supervision, the ministry has carried out more than 83,000 field inspection visits to various service facilities since the beginning of Dzulqa'dah or the 11th month in the Islamic calendar.

This thorough inspection is carried out in cooperation with various related partner institutions and includes accommodation for pilgrims, consumption service centers, campsites, and all active service locations.

This step is aimed at ensuring the readiness of services in a comprehensive manner, verifying compliance with operational requirements, and addressing any obstacles directly in order to ensure a safe, comfortable, and smooth worship experience for worshipers.
