Kebumen Shrimp Pond Becomes an Example, Prabowo Prepares Similar Projects in Several Areas
KEBUMEN - President Prabowo Subianto has made a shrimp pond in Kebumen, Central Java, an example of a productive project that will be expanded to various areas.
When attending the shrimp harvest at the Kebumen Area-Based Shrimp Aquaculture Pond (BUBK), Saturday (23/5), Prabowo said the production of the pond had reached the world level.
"I was given a report that one hectare could produce 40 tons. The world level," said Prabowo.
With a selling price of around Rp70 thousand per kilogram, the pond is considered capable of generating large income while opening up employment opportunities.
The government is now preparing a similar project in Waingapu with an area of 2,000 hectares, Gorontalo 200 hectares, and the North Coast of West Java with an area of 14 thousand hectares.
"We will run everything that is productive," said Prabowo.
According to the President, food and fisheries projects will be the focus of the government because they produce protein, absorb labor, and bring in foreign exchange from exports.
