Prabowo Criticizes Coordinating Minister for Social and Political Affairs for Naming a Village: Should it be Reshuffled?
KEBUMEN - President Prabowo Subianto joked about the reshuffle when he attended the shrimp harvest in Kebumen, Central Java, Saturday (23/5). The joke came after a minister was said to have mispronounced the name of the village where the event was held.
The moment occurred when Prabowo greeted residents and officials who were present at the Tambak Budidaya Udang Berbasis Kawasan (BUBK), Petanahan District, Kebumen.
Prabowo had mentioned that the location of the event was in Karangduwur Village. Residents then straightened the name of the village.
"Karangkerto," replied the residents.
Prabowo then tried again to confirm the location name.
"Tegalretno Village, Petanahan District," he said.
After that, Prabowo alluded to a menko who had previously also mispronounced the name of the village.
"Menko tadi salah nama. Perlu di-reshuffle enggak kira-kira?" kata Prabowo.
The residents answered no. Prabowo then followed up with a joking tone.
"Untung rakyat sayang sama kamu," ujarnya.
At the same event, Prabowo also mentioned the shrimp harvest in Kebumen which was said to have achieved high results. He said the ponds were able to produce around 40 tons of shrimp per hectare at a price of around Rp70 thousand per kilogram.
The dam also absorbed around 650 local workers. The government is preparing to develop similar projects in Waingapu, Gorontalo, and Pantura West Java.
