Regarding the main cause of the power outage in the West Sumatra Province on Friday (22/5) evening at around 18.44 WIB, the institution has not been able to detail further.
However, the temporary disruption of the electrical system is suspected to have originated from Jambi Province.
In addition to West Sumatra, power system disruptions also occurred in Aceh, North Sumatra and Riau.
Since the disturbance, PLN immediately deployed a technical team to check all electrical systems and networks as well as tracing the cause of the disturbance.
Finally, PLN appeals to the public to remain calm and not panic. Information on the development of handling disturbances will be periodically communicated through the PLN Mobile application and PLN 123 contact center services.
