HK Bhirawa Distribution 76,000 Tons of Reinforcement Steel for the Construction of People's Schools and Hospitals
JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) through its subsidiary PT Bhirawa Steel or HK Bhirawa distributed more than 76,000 tons of concrete reinforcement steel during the period January-April 2026 to support the construction of various National Strategic Projects (PSN), including People's Schools and health facilities in a number of areas.
The distribution of the reinforcement steel is part of the company's support for accelerating the development of national infrastructure and ensuring the availability of quality construction materials for government strategic projects.
Until June 2026, the total distribution of reinforcement steel is projected to increase to more than 115,000 tons as the progress of the development of various national strategic projects.
Distribution of materials is focused on supporting the development of national priority projects, especially People's Schools and health facilities in the Fast Best Results Program (PHTC).
Material support was carried out in the construction of People's Schools in West Sulawesi, DKI Jakarta and North Maluku, as well as a number of health facilities, such as the Adhyaksa Bali RSU, Tual Hospital to Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta Hospital.
In addition, the distribution of HK Bhirawa reinforcement steel also reaches various strategic areas in Indonesia ranging from Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara to Papua as part of efforts to maintain the smooth supply chain of national construction materials.
To ensure distribution runs smoothly, HK Bhirawa implements integrated supply chain management, ranging from the production process, quality inspection to the delivery of materials to the project site as needed in the field.
Distribution also involves cross-functional coordination between the production team, quality control, logistics, transportation vendors to the project team receiving the material.
In supporting the needs of large-scale construction, HK Bhirawa relies on BjTS 520 type high tensile reinforcement steel which has high strength and durability for strategic infrastructure projects.
The product has undergone internal and external testing and consistently meets SNI standards.
Until April 2026, the total use of HK Bhirawa's production reinforcement steel was recorded at 39,000 tons as the need for construction materials in various national strategic projects increased.
Acting Executive Vice President (EVP) Secretary of Hutama Karya Hamdani said that supporting the distribution of construction materials is an important part of maintaining the sustainability of national infrastructure development.

"We believe that the smooth supply chain of construction materials has an important role in supporting the acceleration of infrastructure development that provides real benefits to the community," he continued.
Through the distribution of construction materials, Hutama Karya hopes to continue to contribute to strengthening the development of national infrastructure as well as supporting the improvement of connectivity, economic growth and equitable development in various regions of Indonesia.
