Rosan: Luke Thomas Mahony Pimpinan PT DSI
Jakarta - BPI Danantara CEO Danantara Rosan Roeslani mentioned the name Luke Thomas Mahony, one of the leaders of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). This was conveyed by Rosan at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, May 21.
The government has started to open the initial line-up of PT DSI managers prepared to handle the reporting of exports of strategic commodities such as CPO, coal, and feronikel. The name of the former top executive of a large mining company emerged amid business actors' attention to DSI's role in the national commodity export chain.
The government previously stated that CPO, coal, and ferro alloy exports would be included in the reporting mechanism through the company starting June 1. However, this plan had caused concern among exporters.
A number of palm oil and coal associations questioned the direction of the new policy and its impact on the market. Rosan said the government was still in the stage of strengthening the team and would not announce the complete structure of PT DSI. He said the team formation process was carried out with the same approach as when building Danantara.
According to Rosan, the government has also started to move to calm the unrest of business actors. On Thursday afternoon, the government invited various associations and business organizations to socialize policies. This step was taken after the government received various inputs from industry players regarding the new export and commodity reporting mechanism.
