Batal Naik Haji Tahun Ini, Menkeu Purbaya: Belum Rezekinya
JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, did not leave for the hajj this year. He admitted that all members of his family also did not leave.
Purbaya conveyed this at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, May 21.
"Haji berangkat hari ini?" tanya wartawan.
"It didn't happen," replied Purbaya while laughing a little.
When asked about the reason for the cancellation, Purbaya did not explain much. He just said it was not the time.
"It's not the time, maybe," he said.
Reporters had asked whether the cancellation was related to the president's request or the state's duty. However, Purbaya denied it.
"No, no. It hasn't been rezeki yet," he said.
He also ensured that the cancellation did not only happen to him, but to all family members who had originally set out.
"The whole family," said Purbaya.
Although it was canceled this year, he admitted that he still plans to perform the hajj next year.
"Next year is the haj," he said.
When asked if he felt sad because he failed to leave, Purbaya answered casually.
"Yes, it's sad - it's not sad. Because it's not the time, maybe," he said.
Before leaving, Purbaya asked for prayers so that his plan to leave for the Hajj next year would not be delayed again.
"Pray next year will not be canceled again," he said.
