Tenable Launches Hexa AI to Accelerate Cyber Risk Management

JAKARTA - Tenable Holdings, Inc. officially announced the general availability of Tenable Hexa AI, an agent-based AI engine from the Tenable One exposure management platform.

Tenable Hexa AI is designed as a cybersecurity solution, equipped with advanced multi-step reasoning and support for the Context Protocol Model (MCP), which allows the creation of custom agents and workflows to accelerate the automated handling of vulnerabilities.

The company believes the development of large language model (LLM) and cutting-edge AI models, such as Mythos Preview from Anthropic, has accelerated the discovery of new vulnerabilities on a large scale.

This condition is what underlies Tenable in presenting a solution for organizations to prepare an automated system that is able to close security gaps as soon as vulnerabilities are found.

"AI agents operating without proper safeguards and boundaries can be unpredictable, fragile, or unsafe in real-world enterprise environments. This is where Tenable Hexa AI excels," said Tenable Chief Product Officer Eric Doerr in a statement.

Tenable Hexa AI leverages Tenable Exposure Data Fabric, the industry's most complete contextual exposure data and intelligence repository, to transform fragmented technical data into business-aligned, prioritized intelligence, and end-to-end automated remediation across the attack surface.

As an orchestration layer, Tenable Hexa AI can also connect directly with various security and IT tools that companies have used. This allows organizations to use Tenable's built-in agents or build custom agents as needed.

Some of the new capabilities introduced in Tenable Hexa AI include:

- Multi-step reasoning to execute cross-surface security workflows of exposure in a single request

- Automatic remediation workflow through ticket creation and special policies

- Insights into identity-based end-to-end exposure paths such as service accounts, privileged users, and Active Directory groups

"This is a multi-domain AI engine ready for enterprises, built with structure, control, and oversight to act reliably and securely at scale," added Eric.

According to him, Tenable Hexa AI not only provides recommendations for the next steps, but is also able to manage the entire workflow to neutralize risks before they are exploited.

Tenable said Hexa AI is now available to all Tenable One Foundation and Tenable One Advanced customers.
