Heboh, Arsenal Confirms it will Hold a Parade of Champions on May 31

JAKARTA - Arsenal confirmed that they will hold a parade to celebrate the English League title this season next week, precisely on Sunday (31/5).

"We are pleased to announce that we will celebrate the title with supporters and the community in a special parade in the Islington area, starting at 14.00 local time on Sunday, May 31," Arsenal wrote, quoted by Antara from the club's official website, Wednesday.

The parade of champions was held one day after they played the final match of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest, Hungary, Saturday (30/5) at 23.00 WIB or 17.00 British time.

That is, if Arsenal wins the Champions League final, they will parade in front of their own fans to show off the success of double winners or winning two trophies in a season.

"We hope you can join in this celebration. Local residents and business actors are urged to know that this event will cause disruption in a number of areas, including road closures and parking restrictions. Mobility activities around the parade route are also likely to be disrupted," wrote Arsenal.

Regarding the parade route, Arsenal informed that they would announce it further, which can later be accessed on the club's official website.

The Gunners are the 2025/2026 English League champions with one league match left, namely against Crystal Palace on Sunday (24/5) at 22.00 WIB at Selhurst Park, where they lifted the trophy.

This certainty was obtained after in the 37th week, Arsenal defeated Burnley 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium, Tuesday morning WIB, and in the same week their strongest competitor Manchester City failed to win after getting a 1-1 draw against hosts Bournemouth, Wednesday morning WIB.

This situation makes Arsenal's points, namely 82 points, can no longer be chased by City in second place with 78 points. Arsenal was also crowned as the champion of the English League this season, their 14th title, only losing to Manchester United and Liverpool in the list of the most winning titles of all time, as well as the 32nd major trophy in the club's history.

This title also ended a 22-year wait after the "invicibles" or undefeated champions won the 2003/2004 season under Arsene Wenger.

So far, Mikel Arteta's troops have won 25 of 37 league games, earning seven draws and only suffering five defeats. A solid defensive foundation has been the key to their success this season, with 19 clean sheets, where they are also the team with the best defense this season.

In terms of goals, Arsenal scored 69 goals until week 37, becoming the second most prolific team after Manchester City with 76 goals.

Arsenal now have the chance to cap off one of the best seasons in the club's 140-year history by adding another trophy when they appear in their second Champions League final in history in Budapest next week.

They will face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final with ambitions of winning the first Champions League title in the club's 139-year history.
