Tinder Has A Feature To Block Contacts From Your Ex

JAKARTA - Tinder users often find inappropriate friends in the application or meet their family and exes, that's why Tinder has just introduced the block contact feature to prevent unwanted people from interacting with users.

Quoting India Today, Tuesday, June 8, by using the new feature, users can prevent people they own in contacts from appearing while playing Tinder.

Users can choose to upload their contact list and select the contacts they want to block or manually select the contacts they don't want to see on Tinder.

It should be noted that anyone the user adds to the app's internal block list will not see the user's activity on the platform, and vice versa will not see it.

On the other hand, users can even block contacts who haven't joined Tinder, this prevents anything unwanted from happening in the future.

It is known, Tinder conducted a recent survey which found that more than 40 percent of respondents had found an ex-partner on a dating app. Another 24 percent have looked at a family member or colleague, and one in ten have even found a profile of their professor. 78 percent of respondents noted that they would rather not see, or be seen by these connections in apps.

If the user wants to try out the feature, the user can directly access it by tapping the profile icon, selecting settings, scrolling down and selecting Block Contact. Give Tinder permission to access contacts. Then, under the Contacts tab, select the person you want to avoid from the contact list. Then tap Block Contact.

However, in order to enjoy this new feature, Android users will need to download the latest version of the Tinder app on the Google Play Store, while iOS owners can head to the App Store.

Tinder has long allowed users to maintain privacy from those closest to them who are directly connected to them. So, users don't need to worry when using this dating application.
