Carlo Ancelotti Confident Brazil Can Win the 2026 World Cup

JAKARTA - Brazil national team coach Carlo Ancelotti is confident his team can win the 2026 World Cup because the Samba team is currently one of the best teams in the world and is ready to compete with any country.

"I am not a magician, but a worker who has worked for 40 years in football. I have the knowledge and confidence that this team can compete with the best teams in the world," Carlo Ancelotti said in a CBF official statement, Tuesday, as quoted by Antara.

"Can we go to the World Cup final? Yes, we can be in the final. But I think it's not enough, the main goal is to be in the final and win it," added the former Real Madrid coach.

Carlo Ancelotti has just called a total of 26 names of players who will defend Brazil at the 2026 World Cup.

Names of regular players in the squad such as Allisson Becker, Ederson Moraes, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magelhaes, Casemiro, Lucas Paqueta, Raphinha, and Vinicius Junior still have a place.

Then there is the name that has been missing from the Brazilian squad for quite some time, namely the Santos mega star Neymar.

The 34-year-old player has once again received a call-up to the Samba team after the last time he received a call-up on October 17, 2023.

The Italian coach also called up two young players who will make their debut at the World Cup, namely Endrick and Rayan.

Brazil will face tough opponents and could be a stumbling block in the 2026 World Cup group stage with Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
