GOTO Ready to Follow President's Order, Will Implement 8 Percent Commission

JAKARTA - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) which oversees Gojek, today expressed full support and concrete commitment to the government's policy direction regarding online motorcycle taxi commissions.

This policy sets a 92 percent revenue sharing scheme for driver partners from each two-wheeled service trip revenue (GoRide). With this rule, the Company will receive a commission cut of 8 percent, compared to the previous 20 percent.

This statement was conveyed by the Company in a press conference held at the GoTo Headquarters, Jakarta, ahead of the 20 May National Awakening Day, a momentum that the Company considers very meaningful.

The company expressed its highest appreciation and gratitude to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto for his leadership, as well as to the House of Representatives for strong legislative support for the welfare of Indonesian online transportation workers.

As a form of support for the President's direction regarding the online motorcycle taxi revenue sharing scheme policy, Gojek and GoTo have prepared four concrete steps.

Hans Patuwo, President Director/CEO of GoTo, said this policy is a real reflection of the spirit of National Awakening Day in the digital era.

"As we have said in various previous moments, including in the announcement of the Bakti GoTo welfare support program for the country, as well as the launch of the latest 7 Appreciation Partner Initiatives, the welfare of driver partners will always be the Company's top priority," he said, Tuesday, May 19.

Four Concrete Steps of Gojek and GoTo

To support the government's direction regarding the online motorcycle taxi revenue sharing scheme, Gojek and GoTo announced four steps that will be taken, as Hans explained as follows:

1. Gojek and GoTo are committed to supporting President Prabowo Subianto's directive regarding the online taxi commission

The company will adjust the two-wheeled service revenue sharing scheme according to President Prabowo Subianto's instructions. This step will adjust the Company's revenue component from two-wheeled online transportation services (GoRide), but this is a long-term investment for a more sustainable ecosystem.

Not only for driver partners, the Company is also present for tens of millions of users. Gojek and GoTo are aware of the responsibility as an online transportation platform to maintain the continuity of the wheels of people's movement every day. For this reason, for the GoRide Regular service, the service that has the most users, the changes we will make will consider the balance between driver partner income and the price paid by consumers.

The company also understands very well how important the price is for Indonesian consumers. We will try not to change the price paid by consumers for GoRide Regular. We hope that with this adjustment, the number of orders from consumers will remain stable until, ultimately, the total revenue for driver partners will be maintained.

2. Removal of the "GoRide Savings Subscription Program" for driver partners

As part of the overall adjustment, Gojek will stop the "GoRide Hemat Subscription Program" for driver partners. This program was tested since November 2025 and expanded since February 2026. After running for three months and a thorough study, the Company found that this subscription scheme needs a better balance for the welfare of driver partners.

Therefore, Gojek decided to stop the subscription program effective in the near future. The removal of the GoRide Hemat subscription program for driver partners is carried out to create a sustainable ecosystem for all parties.

In the future, GoRide Hemat will also follow the 8 percent revenue sharing system like GoRide Regular. Therefore, there will be a moderate adjustment in consumer prices on GoRide Hemat, and at the same time Gojek ensures that this adjustment is carried out in a measured manner and still prioritizes affordability for the community.

This adjustment will benefit driver partners and be part of a joint effort to maintain the welfare of driver partners.

3. Supporting the Indonesian Government's Asta Cita, Gojek continues to prioritize the welfare program for driver partners

As part of the commitment that continues to be held firmly, Gojek continues to ensure that all welfare programs for driver partners that have been running remain a priority, such as the Raya Bonus Program (BHR), BPJS Employment, BPJS Health, scholarships for partners and children of driver partners, free Umrah, Gojek Partner Job Exchange, and Free Health Check in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia will continue.

This commitment to improving the welfare of partners and families is in line with the Asta Cita towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 which is carried out by the government, especially the mission to increase quality employment and the mission of economic equalization.

4. With the strength of the ecosystem, Gojek and GoTo will continue to be sustainable

GoTo is a growing ecosystem. Financial technology services, logistics/delivery and other business lines in GoTo are growing rapidly and well.

The change in the revenue sharing scheme for two-wheeled services (GoRide) will certainly present challenges and have an impact on Gojek's revenue decline in the GoRide business line. However, we believe that the strength of this ecosystem provides a strong foundation for Gojek to continue to grow, while maintaining the excellence of our services.

Through the strength of the ecosystem and sustainable innovation, we are optimistic that we can make good adjustments, while maintaining the long-term stability of Gojek and GoTo.

Currently, the Company is still coordinating with relevant parties to obtain further guidance regarding the detailed provisions set forth in the Presidential Regulation.

In line with the further directions received, the Company will continue to convey the development and implementation steps required to all related stakeholders as a form of corporate responsibility.

As a company that was born and developed in Indonesia, Gojek is always committed to being able to continue to move forward - for the sake of more prosperous driver partners, better served customers, and Indonesia that we love together.
