KAI Daop 2 Demands Truck Driver for the Cause of the Papandayan Panoramic Train to be Damaged by Tempering
BANDUNG - PT KAI Regional Operation (Daop) 2 Bandung took firm steps by processing the law of a truck driver who parked his vehicle carelessly resulting in the Panoramic train of the Papandayan KA (130) relationship between Gambir-Bandung being tempered in the Plered-Cikadongdong road section, KM 122+1.
KAI Bandung Daop 2 Public Relations Manager Kuswardojo explained that the incident which occurred on Friday (15/5) at 08.43 WIB resulted in serious damage to the Panoramic Train facilities which were in the Papandayan train series.
In addition, he continued, the incident triggered a 14-minute delay in train travel due to emergency checks at the scene.
Kuswardojo emphasized that KAI Daop 2 Bandung ensured that it would not remain silent and immediately filed a legal claim in accordance with the applicable regulations. Because this carelessness has harmed the company's operations and endangered hundreds of passenger lives.
"KAI Daop 2 Bandung will take legal action against those responsible for this incident. Actions that cause disruption of train operations and endanger the safety of travel cannot be tolerated," said Kuswardojo as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 19.
He emphasized that his party would not tolerate any form of carelessness by road users that threatened the safety of mass transportation circulation.
"Railway travel safety is the highest and absolute priority. We are very sorry that there are still road users or vehicle drivers who do not pay attention to safety by parking their vehicles too close, even disturbing the free space of the railway line so as to endanger the train journey," said Kuswardojo.
Before being sent back to the final destination station, Kuswardojo added, officers in the field at that time had also carried out a thorough inspection of the technical aspects of the series to ensure the legality and safety of the post-train journey.
Due to this incident, KAI Daop 2 Bandung strongly appeals to all communities and logistics transportation operators not to carry out any activities that have the potential to violate the benefit space of the railway line, including parking vehicles too close to the tracks.
The public is also reminded to always obey the existing traffic signs and must prioritize train travel in order to maintain safety together in the area of a piece of track.
