Riau Police Seized 283 Cartridges of Various Calibers from Sabu Port

PEKANBARU - The Directorate of Narcotics and Prohibited Drugs of the Riau Regional Police confiscated 283 rounds of ammunition for various calibers from the results of a search for a drug dealer in Bangko Pusako District, Rokan Hilir Regency.

Director of the Narcotics Directorate of the Riau Police, Kombes Putu Yudha Prawira, said the ammunition was secured along with 43.3 grams of methamphetamine and tens of millions of money. There were four perpetrators in the case disclosure carried out on Friday (15/5).

"Officers initially received information that there were frequent drug transactions in the oil palm plantation in Sei Rumbia Village, Bangko Permata Community, Bangko Pusako District," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 19.

After an investigation, the Bangkomen Police arrested three perpetrators, with initials AW, KA, and HA. When the search was carried out, the police found 1 large package and 2 small packages of methamphetamine, with a total weight of 43.3 grams.

Based on the results of the interrogation, they admitted to receiving methamphetamine from a bandar with the initials S who was also from Bangko Pusako District. The officers carried out the development and arrested the perpetrator S in the oil palm plantation.

From S's hands, officers secured 1 unit of the phone and cash of Rp. 2.38 million. Furthermore, the police conducted a search at two rented houses occupied by S in the Riau-North Sumatra road section Kilometer 9.

In the first house, officers found Rp 54.1 million in cash, 1 ecstasy pill and a savings book in the name of S. The shocking discovery occurred during a search of the second house which found a bullet from a firearm.

"Currently, officers are still investigating the ammunition found, and analyzing the accounts of the suspects to trace the possibility of money laundering from the results of the narcotics trade," he said.
