Gojek Assures No Increase in Goride Prices, Drivers Receive 92 Percent-Applicator 8 Percent
JAKARTA - The application-based transportation service provider platform (applicator) Gojek ensures that there is no increase in the price of two-wheeled motorcycle taxi services (GoRide) for customers following Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 27 of 2026 regarding the reduction of driver partner income.
"We will arrange that there will be no change in the price paid by consumers for regular GoRide services. In this way, we hope that the number of orders from consumers will remain maintained and sustainable, and the total revenue for driver partners can also be better," said President Director/CEO of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) Hans Patuwo in a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 19.
Furthermore, Hans said, the company respects and is ready to carry out President Prabowo Subianto's direction regarding the reduction of income deductions taken by the application company from online motorcycle taxi drivers to eight percent.
"We are committed to adjusting the revenue sharing scheme where 92 percent of each GoRide trip will be the driver's right. This is a pretty big change for us," he said.
Although it will have an impact on the company's potential decline in revenue from two-wheeled motorcycle services, Hans believes that this step is a long-term investment for the future of a healthier and better online transportation service ecosystem for all parties.
In addition, he said, Gojek will also strengthen welfare programs for driver partners and their families, as a form of support to realize Asta Cita in terms of increasing quality employment and economic equity.
On the other hand, Hans said, the company will also optimize other business lines to support the changes caused by the adaptation of Presidential Decree 27/2026.
"As part of the GoTo ecosystem, we have various business lines that support and continue to grow. This includes delivery services, logistics, finance, and various other digital services," said Hans.
"The strength of this ecosystem provides a strong foundation for Gojek to continue to grow, while maintaining the excellence of our services. Through the strength of the ecosystem and continuous innovation, we are optimistic that we can make good adjustments," he added.
Regarding when the implementation will be carried out, the company said it is still waiting for further details from the government.
"Regarding the details of implementation, the details of this plan, we are still waiting for the Presidential Decree in detail. We also continue to communicate, dialogue (with stakeholders), yes, all this," said Deputy President Director of GOTO Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo.
