Chery Q Electric Car Officially Introduced in Indonesia with Prices Starting at Rp200 Million, Check Out the Specifications
JAKARTA - Chery Indonesia officially introduced the latest compact electric car named Chery Q. This model comes as an electric vehicle designed to meet the mobility needs of urban people with up-to-date features.
Chery Q is equipped with various flagship features divided into four main pillars, namely Complete Driving Experiences, Complete Space and Comfort, Complete Practicality, and Complete Safety Tech. The presence of this car also targets those who are called Chery as "Gen Q", a progressive generation who needs a practical, modern vehicle, and still supports the needs of the family.
"As one of the electric models that have received massive enthusiasm globally, Chery Q is now one of the main search topics in the Indonesian compact EV segment in recent months," said President Director of Chery Group Indonesia Zeng Shuo, Monday evening, May 18.
"We present the Chery Q by deeply understanding the mobility ecosystem in Indonesia, starting from cabin space relief, smart cockpit, fast charging technology, to comprehensive safety systems," he continued.
In terms of design, the Chery Q carries a modern and expressive appearance with a combination of circular and square elements on the exterior. This car is available in three premium color options, namely Dusk Purple, Oat Latte, and Spark White. The interior is also designed to be more personal through the smart cockpit concept with a head unit display that can be adjusted according to user preferences.
Despite having a compact dimension, the Chery Q offers a spacious cabin with rear leg-room of 977 mm and head-room of 985 mm. This car also has a rear luggage capacity of up to 1,450 liters, plus a 70-liter frunk with a drain valve to support additional storage needs.
To support daily activities, Chery equips this car with 38 storage compartments, a power frunk, and a 6.6 kW Vehicle to Load (V2L) feature that allows the vehicle to be a portable power source. Chery Q is also claimed to be able to travel up to 400 km based on the NEDC standard in one full charge.
Meanwhile, the fast charging feature allows charging from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 16.5 minutes. Driving convenience is further enhanced by the presence of Autonomous Parking Assist (APA) which is combined with a 540-degree HD Panoramic Camera to help the parking process in narrow areas.
In addition, there is also a power folding side mirror with a heating feature to maintain visibility while driving. In the safety sector, Chery Q uses a Super Safe Frame structure with 82 percent high-strength steel materials. Passenger protection is strengthened with six airbags, an IP68 certified battery that is waterproof and dustproof, and 20 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features to increase safety in various travel conditions.
