Task Force Finds Cluster Wedding Reception In Cianjur

CIANJUR - The Cianjur COVID-19 Task Force, West Java, found 35 people from two villages in Cibinong District, positive for COVID-19. They are included in the wedding reception cluster so that they are self-isolating and quarantined.

Spokesperson for the Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center, Yusman Faisal, said that the exposure of dozens of residents from the two villages, Padasuka and Cimaskara, began with a wedding celebration held by a resident.

"The large number of invited guests who came, made the task force from the local health center carry out rapid tests and swab antigens at the celebration location for 50 invited guests and 35 people were found to be positive for COVID-19," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 8.

The task force also placed restrictions on the activities of residents of the two villages, as an effort to anticipate the spread and conduct searches. Where found 7 positive people in the cluster, are travelers.

All residents who tested positive were immediately self-isolated, under the supervision of the local task force team because none were accompanied by disease. All activities and activities of residents were stopped to break the chain of spread.

"Independent quarantine is applied to the activities of residents of two villages, as an effort to break the chain of spread. Officers are still conducting searches so that no more residents are exposed in the two villages, those who are exposed undergo isolation for 14 days," he said.

The Head of Cibinong Sub-district, Aceng Holil, said that so far, his party has intensified socialization to residents to continue to strictly implement the health procedures and report every citizen who has just returned or is going home from outside the city and is isolating for five days.

"We also urge residents who want to hold a wedding celebration or circumcision, not to cause a crowd by limiting the guests who come. However, the wedding cluster that was found was attended by many invited guests, so a quick test and swab was immediately carried out," he said.

Quick tests and antigen swabs were carried out by officers from the Cibinong Health Center, where 35 invited guests were found to be positive for COVID-19, 28 Padasuka Village residents and 7 other people were residents of Cimaskara Village who were also travelers, so the two villages were immediately quarantined.
