Frislly Herlind Reveals the Moment of Mystical Disturbance at the Location of the Sajen Satu Suro Film Shooting

JAKARTA - Indonesian horror film lovers are once again presented with a gripping spectacle that is thick with local mystical nuances. PIM Pictures officially introduced their latest work titled Sajen Satu Suro. This film promises the revenge terror of the past wrapped in the strong atmosphere of Javanese culture.

Directed and produced by Agustinus Sitorus, Sajen Satu Suro is scheduled to greet audiences in cinemas starting July 30. This step emphasizes PIM Pictures' consistency in diversifying the horror genre after its success with Kutukan 9 Setan and Perjamuan Iblis.

"Sajen Satu Suro is part of our consistency in presenting Indonesian horror films with strong characters and atmospheres. We want to present a horror experience that feels close to our culture," said Agustinus Sitorus in Jakarta, not long ago.

According to him, this film not only sells jumpscare, but also has a deep emotional layer. "There is mystery, past grudges, to the right choice of location that really supports the atmosphere of the story," he added.

Synopsis

Singkat Cerita follows the journey of Tania (Aisyah Aqila) with her colleagues, Jeff (Cinta Brian), Laura (Frislly Herlind), and Robby (Munggaran) to Maduabang Village. Their mission is actually simple: return Tania's father's keris. However, the return of the heirloom actually triggers a great terror that opens the dark veil of the night of one suro decades ago.

The horror atmosphere turns out not only to happen in front of the camera. Frislly Herlind who plays Laura said the filming location of this film was really haunted. The production team used the original location set ranging from graves to empty houses that have long been uninhabited.

"The set chosen is really a real horror place. The atmosphere was gripping before filming began. Even not just the actors, many of the crew also experienced mystical disturbances," said Frislly.

Frislly even admitted that he had seen a large figure resembling a genderuwo in one of the old houses. Strange events such as the sudden death of the generator set and the crew who felt that they were hit by an invisible object had colored the production process.

In addition to a row of young stars such as Aisyah Aqila, Cinta Brian, and Frislly Herlind, this film is also strengthened by the presence of veteran actor Cliff Sangra.
