Polsektro Tamansari raided a cosmetics shop selling illegal hard drugs, daily turnover of Rp3 million

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Metro Tamansari Police managed to dismantle the circulation of illegal hard drugs of the tramadol type and others disguised as cosmetics stores in the Jalan Keamanan II RT 02/07 area, Keagungan Village, Tamansari District, West Jakarta.

Tamansari Metro Police Chief Commissioner Bobby M Zulfikar said the disclosure of the case began after his party received information from the public regarding the sale of illegal drugs without a distribution permit at the location.

The arrest was led directly by the Metro Tamansari Police Criminal Investigation Unit Kanit AKP Egy Irwansyah together with the operational team who immediately conducted observation and investigation at the location.

When arriving at the crime scene, officers found a man with suspicious movements who was suspected of being involved in a transaction of illegal drugs.

The police then conducted an examination and search of the perpetrator with the initials MR (21).

"From the results of the search, the police managed to seize 500 pieces of Tramadol and 725 pieces of Hexymer packaged in a number of ready-to-distribute plastic clips," he said when confirmed, Sunday, May 17, 2026.

In addition, the police also secured cash proceeds from the sale of Rp. 489 thousand and one Oppo A17 mobile phone.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Metro Tamansari Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Egy Irwansyah, added that during the examination, the suspect admitted that he had only worked for two weeks as a store guard disguised as a tissue and cosmetics stall.

"The perpetrator received a salary of Rp. 2 million per month from a man with the initials T who is now on the wanted list (DPO)," said AKP Egy when confirmed by VOI, Sunday.

The suspect also admitted that the turnover of illegal drug sales could reach Rp. 2 million to Rp. 3 million per day.

"The goods were delivered by his boss's servants in turn," he said.

The existence of the cosmetics store was known to have disturbed the surrounding residents because it was suspected to be a place for illegal transactions of hard drugs.

For his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 435 and Article 436 paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison and a fine of up to IDR 5 billion.
