Danes Rabani Introduces his First Full Album "Camarosa" through an Intimate Showcase
JAKARTA - After seven years since his debut, young soloist Danes Rabani carved an important achievement in his music career by officially introducing his first full-length album titled "Camarosa".
This achievement was celebrated by holding an intimate performance titled "Camarosa Album Showcase" which was held at Coma, M Bloc Space, South Jakarta, on Friday, May 15.
Before captivating the audience on stage with a setlist from the new album, the 18-year-old singer first told the media about the album's recording process - accompanied by Michael Widjaja as General Manager of Firefly Records and Rofik who acted as a representative of Swara Music Management and also Danes' father.
Michael gave high appreciation for the consistency and productivity of the Danes. According to him, producing a full album at a very young age is an achievement that not all young musicians can do.
"Danes is a young musician with a complete package and great potential in the music industry," said Michael.
On the other hand, the father, Rofik, emphasized that he did not dictate his son's musical direction at all. He said his role was purely as a supporting system in facilitating Danes' career.
Rofik also ensures that all the creative ideas, lyrics, and arrangements contained in the album "Camarosa" are purely from Danes' own thoughts.
The musical journey of Danes is indeed mature. He has been actively performing since he was in grade 5 of Elementary School (SD). His steps in the music industry have a big influence from Iwan Fals.
Danes revealed that the living legend once gave a simple advice that he always held firmly until now in writing songs.
"Om Iwan Fals once advised me to always listen and write things around me," said Danes.
Danes indeed grew up under the influence of Iwan Fals' music, even having recorded several rare opportunities to duet live with the singer of "Bongkar" on a big stage.
The excitement of the Camarosa Album Showcase was opened with a warm performance from Jalesdeva and Noord.
As soon as Danes took the stage, the atmosphere immediately changed from sad to excited. Carrying the concept of an intimate performance, Danes presented a series of his signature repertoire from the new album, ranging from "Dark That Does Not Easily Light Up", "Sunny", "Mine", to "Charm".
The event was not only crowded with fans, but also a number of senior Indonesian musicians - Budi and Dygo from Drive and Thomas Ramdhan from Gigi - appeared to provide moral support.
Through this intimate event, Danes together with Firefly Records and Swara Music Management hope to build a stronger emotional bond with listeners, as well as strengthen its position as a new color that should be taken into account in the Indonesian music industry.
