K-Pop World Tour Demon Hunters Officially Held, Here's the Concept Leak

JAKARTA - The popularity of the animated "K-Pop Demon Hunters" continues to increase since its release on Netflix. The film, which is a musical and fantasy genre, managed to steal the attention of K-pop fans and animation lovers thanks to its unique storyline that combines the Korean idol world with the action of hunting demons.

The success continues with the news of an official world tour that will bring a live experience for fans.

The virtual idol group Huntr/x who are the main characters in the animated film are confirmed to hold a world tour. The announcement was made via the official Instagram account @kpopdemonhuntersnetflix on Thursday (14/5).

"Netflix and AEG will work together to develop and produce an official global concert tour inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters!" they wrote in an official post.

According to Soompi's report, the world tour will be packaged as a live performance experience that presents various elements of the two-Oscar-winning film in a spectacular way.

However, details regarding the concert schedule, list of destination cities, and ticket sales will still be announced in the near future.

"K-Pop Demon Hunters" itself tells the story of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey who live their lives as members of the popular idol group Huntr/x in the South Korean entertainment industry. Behind their popularity, the three have a secret mission to eradicate demons that target human souls while maintaining the Honmoon seal.

The story gets more interesting with the appearance of a group of men named Saja Boys. Although they appear as handsome and charismatic idols, they are actually demons disguised by the order of the underworld leader.

The animated film previously won various prestigious awards, including the Oscar for Best Animated Film. In addition, "K-Pop Demon Hunters" also won the Best Animated Film and Best Original Song awards at the Golden Globe Awards in January.

Not only that, last month the film made history as the first K-pop genre work to win the Best Song Written for Visual Media category at the Grammy Awards.
