PNM Mekaar Customers Prove Women's Empowerment Can Strengthen Family Economy

JAKARTA - Women's empowerment is an important part of encouraging national economic growth.

In the midst of the contribution of MSMEs which reaches more than 60 percent of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the role of women in managing micro, small, and medium enterprises is a force that cannot be ignored.

More than half of Indonesian MSMEs are managed by women, making them an important pillar of the family economy as well as a driver of change in their surrounding environment.

Through the Mekaar (Building a Prosperous Family Economy) program, PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is present to reach pre-prosperous women so that they have wider access to business assistance, as well as a social network based on groups.

"Alhamdulillah with the training from PNM, I can take this far. I was just a small business, but because I always get training from PNM, thank God today I can stand here to get this award. Thank you very much PNM, I am very grateful," said Nurjannah.
