Bahlil Confesses To The DPR: BKPM Levels Up To Become A Ministry But The Budget Is Circumcised, This Is How To Become A State Servant

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) received a budget of Rp. 711 billion in 2022. When compared to the year's budget of Rp. 930 billion, next year's budget will decrease by Rp. 219 billion.

Regarding the budget, the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia also poured out his heart to Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR). Bahlil assesses that the budget is considered very small with an incoming investment target of IDR 1,100 trillion to IDR 1,200 trillion.

Not only that, Bahlil also admitted that he was confused as to why after he was promoted to ministry, his budget was lowered.

"So when we were still in the form of an agency, our budget was high, so when the ministry went up the budget was lowered. I am also confused, but that's the fate of being a civil servant, right here, where else are we going to talk to other than the leadership (DPR)," said Bahlil in a working meeting ( Working Meeting) with Commission VI at the Parliament Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 8.

To be able to pursue such a high target, Bahlil asked for an additional budget of Rp608.5 billion through a copy sent to the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia/National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of PPN/Bappenas).

According to Bahlil, this letter has been sent and is just waiting for the approval of the DPR, in this case Commission VI, as a partner of the Ministry of Investment. Later, said Bahlil, the budget will be allocated for several priority activities.

Such as program management support and program spending. In addition, there is also a program to increase the ease of investing in the country.

"We hope that with the prayers and remembrance of all the struggles of leaders and employees at the Ministry of Investment, through this letter we hope that the leadership of Commission VI of the DPR RI can fight for it," he said.
