School of Information Systems BINUS UNIVERSITY and Odoo Strengthen Strategic Collaboration
JAKARTA - In the midst of accelerating digital transformation that changes the global industry landscape, the need for talent who not only understand the theory, but also have practical experience with modern business systems is becoming increasingly crucial. Companies are now looking for graduates who are able to adapt to the increasingly complex data-driven, automation, and integration of enterprise technology industry ecosystem.
On the other hand, universities are required to provide learning experiences that are relevant to the needs of real industries, so that graduates can have higher job readiness from the beginning of their careers.
In response to this need, BINUS University through the School of Information Systems officially established a strategic partnership with Odoo through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) related to the development and improvement of education in the field of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), digital transformation, and strengthening connectivity between the academic world and industry. "Digital transformation not only changes the way companies work, but also changes the competencies needed in the workforce. Therefore, universities must be able to move faster in providing relevant, adaptive, and directly connected learning with industry practices. Collaboration with Odoo is part of BINUS University's efforts to prepare students not only to understand the concept of enterprise technology, but also to be able to implement it in a real business context," said Dr. Rudy, quoted Thursday, May 14.
Through this collaboration, BINUS University students will have a wider opportunity to get to know the implementation of the ERP system directly through various seminar, workshop, and training programs that present industry practitioners. In addition, the professional recruitment program also opens opportunities for final-year students and alumni to connect with the career ecosystem in the technology industry and digital transformation.
As part of this series of collaborations, there will also be a talkshow session with Odoo's partner, namely Kaitech.io, which will discuss topics regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the implementation of Odoo in supporting digital business transformation. This session will be presented by Khusnul Ari as CEO & Founder of Kaitech.io, who will share insights related to the use of AI in optimizing ERP systems and implementing digital technology in various industrial sectors.
Director of Odoo Indonesia, Benny Putra Sugito, assessed that collaboration between industry and educational institutions is an important foundation in creating digital talent that is ready to face the challenges of modern business.

Through cooperation with BINUS University, we want to help narrow the gap between the education world and industry needs by providing exposure to the implementation of ERP and real digital transformation. We believe students need to gain learning experiences that are closer to industry practices so that they can have an impact from the start of their careers," explained Benny.
