Bogor DPRD Prepares Complaint Post for Monitoring SPMB 2026

BOGOR - Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD stated that it was ready to monitor the implementation of the 2026 New Student Admission System (SPMB) to ensure that the process was transparent and minimize the potential for cheating that had previously occurred frequently.

Chairman of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Fajar Muhammad Nur, said that supervision was focused on synchronizing inter-departmental data, especially for domicile and affirmation lines, which have been considered vulnerable to abuse.

According to Fajar, SPMB 2026 will still use four main lanes, namely domicile, affirmation, achievement, and transfer of parental duties or mutation.

He explained that one of this year's updates is the integration of data from the Education Office, Social Office, and the Civil Registry and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) into one integrated system.

"If last year the data of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the District/City Administration were still separate, this year it has been synchronized in one system in the Ministry of Education. We hope that this can accommodate a much more valid and accurate verification process," said Fajar, in his statement, Wednesday, May 13.

Fajar highlighted the problem of domicile verification, which has been frequently used through the practice of entrusting family cards (KK). He asked the Disdukcapil to be more careful in distinguishing changes in administrative data that are reasonable from address changes that are deliberately carried out in order to enter certain schools.

"We want to ensure that the entire process is on target and has a strong regulatory basis so that there are no errors in distribution or misuse," he said.

He emphasized that Commission IV would continue to carry out its oversight function and open the possibility of establishing a complaints post if problems were found in the field.

"We hold the commitment of the Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture that there are strict sanctions for individuals who play in this system. Our target is an accountable, transparent, and non-discriminatory SPMB," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Subhan, explained that there were still around 87 thousand people or around 8 percent of Bogor City residents who were included in the Social Welfare Integrated Data (DTKS), but did not have the desil status as a condition for the affirmative path.

According to him, prospective students who do not have a desil status can submit a ground check to the Social Service for direct verification in the field.

"Officers will check and issue a desil certificate as a requirement for the affirmation path," said Subhan.

Regarding the domicile route, he ensured that this year's coordinate system would be made more precise with automatic distance calculations between prospective students' homes and their destination schools.

To prevent the practice of KK, the Disdukcapil also implements strict rules. Prospective students who are boarding in another family's KK are not allowed to use the domicile line, except for orphans or special conditions that are proven by official documents.

"The system will detect if there is an attempt to change the coordinate point. We emphasize transparency so that there are no more allegations of cheating that harm the community," he said.

The working meeting related to the 2026 SPMB was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of Commission IV of the Bogor City DPRD, Asep Nadzarullah, along with other members of Commission IV.
