Hajj Season Not Over, Zamzam Water Arrives in Banda Aceh

BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Embarkation Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) reported that 27,130 liters of zamzam water for prospective pilgrims (JCH) from the embarkation had arrived at the Aceh Embarkation Hajj Dormitory, which would later be distributed to 5,426 prospective pilgrims in the province.

"Yes, it's true, for zamzam water it's all from two shipments," said the Chairman of the Aceh Embarkation PPIH Arijaldi Banda Aceh, Thursday, as reported by Antara.

He explained that the Zamzam air that was already in the Aceh Hajj Dormitory was received after two flights, namely on May 10 and 12, 2026 by Garuda Indonesia.

"Two times of transportation, on May 10 and 12, using a passenger plane without passengers," he said.

Therefore, PPIH appeals to the prospective pilgrims of Aceh not to bring zamzam water home anymore, because it has been provided by Garuda Indonesia in the country.

The zamzam water, he continued, was packaged in five liters for each of the Aceh pilgrims, and will be handed over to them after returning from the Holy Land.

"The package of zamzam water is five liters per prospective haji. It will be distributed later when the pilgrims return from the haj," he said.

However, he continued, for the water distribution system of zamzam water, it has not been decided whether it will be given through the respective district/city governments or directly before returning from the dormitory later.

"In the past, we left it to the local government to distribute it ourselves, but this year it could be in the Hajj Dormitory. However, this has not been decided, it is still being discussed," said Arijal.

For information, the number of Aceh pilgrims who are currently in Saudi Arabia is eight flight groups or around 3,138 people, out of a total of 5,426 prospective pilgrims from the land of rencong.
