Kaltara Police Chief Reviews Distribution of Free Nutritious Meal Program for Students in Bulungan
TANJUNG SELOR - The Head of the North Kalimantan Regional Police (Kapolda), Inspector General of Police Djati Wiyoto Abadhy, directly reviewed the implementation and distribution of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program held in Bulungan Regency on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
The activity which took place on Jalan Bhayangkara, Tanjung Selor Hilir Village, Tanjung Selor District, targeted students from kindergarten (TK) to middle school (SMP)
Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Abadhy revealed that as many as 1,024 portions of nutritious food were distributed to 957 students as well as 67 teachers and educators from TK Bhayangkari, TK Agape, SDN 10 Tanjung Selor, and SMPN 07 Tanjung Selor.
"This program is a tangible manifestation of the concern of the Kaltara Police for improving the nutritional quality of schoolchildren. We want to ensure that our young generation grows healthy, strong, and has good learning concentration. Nutritious food is an important foundation for their future," said Inspector General Djati.
Irjen Djati said the Free Nutritious Meal program is not only a social activity, but also a part of efforts to support human resource development from an early age.
"We are committed to continuing to support government programs that have a direct impact on the community. Collaboration between the police, schools, educators, and volunteers is the key to making this program run smoothly and on target," he said.
He explained that the distribution of food was carried out by the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) of the Kaltara Police together with dozens of volunteers using operational vehicles to ensure that the food was received in good condition.
"I hope this program can continue to run and provide benefits for schoolchildren in Kaltara, especially in supporting the health and concentration of students' learning," he concluded.
