Ganti Juri, MPR Ulang Final LCC Empat Pilar Kalbar
JAKARTA - The People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) has decided to hold a new round of the final round of the Smart and Careful Competition (LCC) Four Pillars 2026 at the West Kalimantan (Kalbar) Provincial Level after the assessment error.
MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani said that the re-run competition would be held in the near future with changes to the jury board. The jury for the re-run competition was taken from independent circles such as academics.
"The LCC at the provincial level in West Kalimantan that will be final will be repeated ... the leadership of the MPR will directly supervise the course of the competition from the beginning to the end," said Muzani as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 13.
He explained that the re-run competition would be held by the MPR General Secretariat as the executor. However, he ensured that there was no jury from the internal elements of the MPR as in the previous competition.
The MPR acknowledges the mistakes in the organization of the final round in Pontianak on Saturday (9/5). Therefore, this step was taken as a correction for the mistakes that later became widely discussed on social media.
Muzani further said that his party was committed to continuing to evaluate the improvement of MPR activities in the future by listening to the views of the community.
"We thank and appreciate the participants in the competition who used their right to express their views, freedom of speech, and to protest their dissatisfaction, and we hear it as a way to train them to be good examples of democracy," he said.
Meanwhile, MPR Secretary General Siti Fauziah said the old jury council had been deactivated from the LCC Four Pillars of the MPR RI 2026 activities. This is a sanction for the controversy over the error in the final round at the Kalbar level.
Regarding the re-run, Siti explained that the activity would be held as soon as possible in May. The MPR RI Secretariat is coordinating the technicalities of the race.
"If the date we will coordinate first because it is a re-race, everything must be like the last race, so there must be a stage, there are others. We will coordinate the readiness, if possible this week, so that it can be quickly resolved," he said.
Previously, three high schools (SMA) competed in the final round of the LCC Four Pillars of the MPR RI at the provincial level in West Kalimantan, namely Pontianak State High School 1, Sambas State High School 1, and Sanggau State High School 1.
The competition became a hot topic on social media because of an error in judgment during the question-and-answer session.
Participants had objections to the jury's assessment. However, the response of the jury, namely the Head of the MPR RI General Secretariat Assessment Bureau Dyastasita W.B. and the Head of the MPR RI Socialization Agency Secretariat Indri Wahyuni, was highlighted by netizens.
