Tens of Thousands of Recipients of Social Assistance Funds are Indicted in Triwulan I 2026, Directly Deleted

Jakarta - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf explained a number of data related to beneficiaries or KPM who received social assistance in the first quarter of 2026 related to online gambling (judol) indications.

According to Gus Ipul, more than 11 thousand families of KPM recipients have been crossed out because they are suspected of using social assistance for online gambling. This was conveyed by Gus Ipul at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 12.

Gus Ipul said that in the second quarter, the number of KPM who were crossed off dropped drastically to 75 families. They have also been removed from the list of recipients of social assistance. According to Gus Ipul, the decline shows that the use of social assistance for judol has begun to decrease.

In 2025, the Ministry of Social Affairs had crossed out about 600 thousand recipients. A small portion was then given the opportunity to receive again after the reactivation process and field inspection.

However, this opportunity is not free. Gus Ipul emphasized that the recipient who repeats will be permanently deleted. The Ministry of Social Affairs works together with the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center or PPATK to match the data of social assistance recipients.

This year, the Ministry of Social Affairs will also submit the latest data from the Central Statistics Agency to the PPATK. This step is taken to ensure that social assistance is not targeted incorrectly.

Gus Ipul said that the findings of social assistance recipients indicated that many judol were in desil 1 and 2, namely the most vulnerable group of people. He also admitted that there was assistance that was used by others. However, recipients who deliberately used social assistance for judol will be given a red line.
