Denon Prawiraatmadja encourages ITS Indonesia to become a major player in urban air mobility in the regional area.

Founder and CEO of Whitesky Group, Denon Prawiraatmadja, encourages the Intelligent Transport System Indonesia (ITS Indonesia/ITSI) to take a strategic role in the development of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in Indonesia and the regional area.

This was conveyed by Denon Prawiraatmadja in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) forum on the future of transportation and the development of Urban Air Mobility with the President of Intelligent Transport System Indonesia (ITS Indonesia), William P. Sabandar, which was attended by stakeholders from the transportation, technology, industry, and regulator sectors.

According to Denon, Indonesia has a great opportunity to become one of the main players in the development of the UAM ecosystem in the Southeast Asian region, especially with the support of increasingly strong cross-sector collaboration.

"With Indonesia's geographical characteristics and the growing mobility needs, the opportunities for the development of Urban Air Mobility in Indonesia are actually very large. The challenge now is how to build an integrated ecosystem that is ready to grow in the long term," said Denon Prawiraatmadja, in his statement, Tuesday, May 12.

During the forum, Denon also emphasized that ITS Indonesia has a very strategic position in encouraging the integration of future transportation systems, including the development of Urban Air Mobility as part of the transformation of national mobility.

According to him, the concept of Intelligent Transport System developed by ITS Indonesia has alignment with the UAM vision that has been developed by the Whitesky Group.

"ITS Indonesia is in line with the concept of Urban Air Mobility that we have been pushing for. In the future, the transportation system cannot run on its own. Everything must be interconnected so that people's mobility can be more efficient and adaptive," said Denon.

He assessed that the development of Urban Air Mobility is not only about urban air transportation, but also about how to create a mobility system that is able to answer the challenges of urbanization, connectivity, and efficiency in the future.

Denon Prawiraatmadja is also optimistic that ITS Indonesia has the ability to become one of the important forces in winning the Urban Air Mobility market at the regional level.

According to him, Indonesia has a unique combination of mobility needs, technological growth, and geographical conditions that can be a competitive advantage in the development of UAM.

"Indonesia is not only a market, but has the potential to become a key player in the future transportation industry in the region," he added.

Furthermore, Denon emphasized that ITS Indonesia and Whitesky Group can be key enablers in building a future transportation industry that is more integrated, efficient, and oriented towards sustainability.

This FGD forum is part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between stakeholders in building a future transportation ecosystem that is more adaptive to technological developments and community needs.
