Director Denies Deleting Cha Eun Woo's Scene in The WONDERfools Series
JAKARTA - Director Yoo In Sik confirmed that there was no change in the series The WONDERfools even though the main cast was involved in the case. Previously, Cha Eun Woo was in the spotlight for a tax offense case that had been completed.
On Tuesday, May 12, director Yoo In Sik and the cast, namely Park Eun Bin, Choi Dae Hoon, Lim Sung Jae, Kim Hae Sook, Son Hyun Joo, Jung Yi Seo, Choi Yoon Ji, and Bae Na Ra, attended a press conference while Cha Eun Woo was still serving his mandatory military service.
When asked about Cha Eun Woo's case, Yoo In Sik replied, "We became aware of the issue after the editing and production process was completed."
"This project is my dream and everyone works hard for every second. We prioritize the story being finished while changing and working on post-production," explained the director.
Furthermore, he also asked the public not to ask about his comments because of his artist's personal case. He also praised Cha Eun Woo's appearance in this series.
"I ask for your understanding that I can't comment on personal matters. Emotional and multidimensional acting (Cha Eun Woo) exceeds expectations," said Yoo In Sik.
"Not only Cha Eun Woo but all the actors showed their new sides. Cha Eun Woo also worked hard like the others and I am satisfied with the results," he continued.
The WONDERfools is a series that tells Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin) is surprised by the power she gets after an accident. Her neighbors - Son Gyeong Un (Choi Dae Hoon) and Kang Ro Bin (Im Sung Jae) also get the same thing. On the other hand, there is Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), a civil servant who seeks the truth behind the mystery of the disappearance of residents in Haeseong.
