JK Viral Video Controversy, Grace Natalie: Let's Just Meet

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Board of Trustees Grace Natalie confirmed that her statement regarding the video that offended the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla (JK) was still within reasonable limits and not personal.

At a press conference in Jakarta, Monday, May 11, Grace admitted that until now there has been no direct communication with Jusuf Kalla regarding the controversy over the video that went viral on social media.

"So far there has been no communication from me with Mr. JK. But of course I am open if I want to discuss. I also never had a personal problem with Mr. JK. My statement is also normal," said Grace Natalie as quoted by Antara.

Grace emphasized that she was ready to provide an explanation if she was asked to clarify the context of her statement in the video.

"I am ready if I am asked for an explanation, for example if Mr. JK wants to know the actual context of my statement," he said.

He also highlighted that the report related to the controversy was not delivered directly by Jusuf Kalla. Therefore, Grace admitted that he did not know the connection between JK and the reporting party.

When asked about the possibility of meeting JK in person, Grace again expressed his openness to discuss when there was an opportunity.

"If he is open, let's just meet. I have never had a problem with Mr. JK. It's just that it's been a long time since I've met," he said.

Grace also asked the public to look at the track record of her relationship with Jusuf Kalla, which has been assessed as going well without personal conflicts.

"Friends can check my track record. I have never had any problems with Mr. JK," said Grace Natalie.
