Koops TNI Patrol Secures Weapons Belonging to KKB Wame

JAKARTA - The patrol of the TNI Habema Operations Command Task Force secured weapons belonging to the armed criminal group (KKB), after conducting a search in Wame Village, Wame District, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains.

"He was arrested while patrolling at a location suspected of being a hiding place for the KKB," said Head of Information Koops TNI Habema Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Wirya Artadigunadilansir ANTARA, Monday, May 11.

Wirya said that when carrying out a search and cleaning inside the building, the Task Force personnel found a number of items suspected of being related to the KKB's activities.

The weapons seized included one airsoft gun Omega type gun made in China, one air rifle, seventeen 5.56 millimeter caliber ammunition, seven 9 millimeter pistol ammunition, one 9 millimeter revolver ammunition, and a number of other items.

"The evidence was found inside a bag on the floor of the central room of the main building," said Wirya.

He added that the patrol, the Task Force personnel also carried out an inspection of a house that was allegedly just abandoned by its residents because the embers were still burning.

The Koops TNI Habema Task Force will continue to carry out patrols and actions that are carried out in a measured manner to narrow the KKB's room for maneuver because the group is still trying to disrupt public security.
