MotoGP Is Ready To Return, We Are Waiting For Valentino Rossi's Action
JAKARTA - MotoGP is ready to return. Fans can witness the actions of their idol riders like Valentino Rossi and Andrea Dovizioso after the Italian government relaxed lockdown rules during the COVID-19 pandemic.
After two months of quarantine, Rossi reopened his motorbike in Tavullia. He can race on the dirt circuit with Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Luca Marini (SKY Racing Team VR46).
"Returning to the Ranch after a few months is as exciting as the first time," Rossi said on his Instagram account on Monday.
It's not just Rossi. Ducati duo Andrea Dovizioso and Danilo Petrucci are back racing together again, this time on the motocross track at the Crossdromo Monte Coralli which is not far from the city of Feanza, Italy. The two of them last tasted the track during the Qatar test.
Launching the official MotoGP page, Aprilia test rider Lorenzo Savadori and Moto2 star Lorenzo Baldassari (Flexbox HP40) and Enea Bastianini (Italtrans Racing Team) also joined the two Ducati riders.
Italy has become one of the countries most affected by the global health crisis caused by the corona virus in which nearly 220,000 people were infected in the pizza country and 30,000 of them died.
Meanwhile in Spain, athletes have been allowed out of the house to train a few days early.
Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez have also taken advantage of the leniency of the policy to cycle around Catalonia.
