TKA From China Missing, Allegedly Drowned In The Sampara River In Southeast Sulawesi
KENDARI - The Kendari Basarnas rescue and liquefaction team is looking for a foreign worker (TKA) from China who works at the nickel mining company PT Obsidian Stainlies Steel.
He was reported missing drowned in the Sampara River, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
Head of Basarnas Kendari Aris Sofingi said that his party received information about the missing victim from a person named Ilham Ilyas who reported that the victim had been missing since last Monday, June 7.
"We received information on the disappearance of the victim on Monday night at 23.30 WITA from Mr. Ilham Ilyas who reported that on Sunday at 11.00 WITA there had been a dangerous condition for humans, one foreign worker from China who worked at PT OSS drowned at the mouth of the Sampara River, Kapoiala District, Konawe, " he said in Kendari, Tuesday, June 8, as reported by Antara.
He conveyed that a search had been carried out from the company but until it received the information, the victim had not been found.
Based on the report, at 23.50 WITA the Kendari Basarnas rescue team was dispatched to the accident scene (LKK) to provide SAR assistance.
"The distance between LKK and Kendari Basarnas is about 47 km," he said.
The Kendari Basarnas search team assisted by security forces PT OSS and PT VDNI continued to search for victims since 06.00 WITA by conducting sweeps around LKK to the mouth of the Sampara River.
"The victim named Chang Yang is 30 years old," added Aris.
