Minister of Housing Approves Additional Quota of 50 Thousand Subsidized Houses in Central Java
JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning Maruarar Sirait has approved Governor Ahmad Luthfi's request for an additional 50 thousand subsidized housing quotas in Central Java as an effort to accelerate the fulfillment of the community's housing needs and the engine that drives the regional economy.
"The Governor also asked for an increase in the quota for subsidized houses. Last year, about 25 thousand, I asked for 50 thousand, I agree," he said in Brebes, Central Java, Saturday, May 9, reported by ANTARA.
According to him, the increase in the quota for subsidized houses will have a significant impact on economic circulation in Central Java, especially if accompanied by a house surgery program that continues to be expanded.
"Imagine if the subsidized houses are around 50 thousand houses then the surgery is 30 thousand houses. This will move the economy," he said.
He said Central Java became the province with the largest absorption of the distribution of the Housing Program Credit (KPP) or housing KUR in Indonesia.
In fact, he said, Bank Jateng is recorded as one of the regional development banks with the largest housing financing distribution nationally.
Governor Ahmad Luthfi said that housing development is part of the basic services of the community that must be carried out through cross-sectoral collaboration from the central government to the village government.
"In order to build Central Java Province, we must collaborate. Collaboration is called togetherness, it is called togetherness," he said.
He emphasized that the local government continues to strengthen the home surgery program in 35 regencies/cities to improve the quality of people's housing, especially for low-income people.
In addition, he highlighted the importance of spatial certainty for housing developers.
"We ask the district/city governments to accelerate the completion of the spatial plan so that housing development does not collide with protected rice fields. Take care of our territory, create a sense of security, peace, and mutual cooperation as the breath of Central Java Province," he said.
