Shakira Releases Official 2026 World Cup Song Clip Collaborating with Burna Boy

JAKARTA - Shakira has released a snippet of the song Dai Dai, the official song of the 2026 World Cup. The 49-year-old Colombian singer collaborated with Nigerian singer Burna Boy, and the song will be released on May 14, 2026.

Four-time Grammy winner Shakira released a one-minute clip on social media showing part of the song, with the artist seen performing with a group of dancers at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

This is the second official World Cup song after Waka Waka which was featured at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Shakira also performed her songs Dare (La La La) and Hips Don't Lie at the closing ceremonies of the 2014 and 2006 World Cups.

Shakira has two children with former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, a World Cup winner with Spain.

This summer's 2026 World Cup, held in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, will begin on June 11, 2026 in Mexico City.
