Jeremy Doku: Manchester City Will Not Give Up in the English League Title Race
Jeremy Doku has warned Arsenal that Manchester City are not ready to give up the title despite losing valuable points against Everton on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
The Citizens drew 3-3 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium which put Arsenal in pole position to win the Premier League for the first time in more than 20 years.
Doku scored twice in the game against Everton - including the equalizer in the final minutes to salvage a point.
Despite losing two valuable points, Doku insists that the title race is not over even though the Gunners are five points clear at the top of the table at the moment.
"Of course it hurts. We know how important it is to win games like that, we don't give up, we won't give up."
"There are still a few more games, we will fight to the end and in the end we will count the points. (We) are disappointed but it's not over, we won't give up," Doku said.
If Manchester City want to overtake Arsenal, they have to get through a busy schedule until the end of the season.
Pep Guardiola's side will face Brentford at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, May 9, 2026, to begin a run of five games in 16 days before ending the season, which also includes the FA Cup final against Chelsea on May 16, 2026.
"There are many matches, we have a busy schedule, and we will continue to move forward. We are still in two events and we have a final to play."
"We will recover well. Mentally, we've all been in this position, we're used to playing every three days, the most important thing is to recover mentally and physically."
"There will be difficult matches to come, but we are ready for them, we are looking forward to it," the Belgian said.
