Spotify Expands AI-Based DJ Feature Trial to More Countries

JAKARTA - Spotify is expanding the beta trial of its AI DJ feature to more countries. This expansion includes the addition of four new languages to provide a more local experience for users.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) based feature is now available in France, Germany, Italy, and Brazil. Thus, the AI DJ feature is now available for Premium users in more than 75 global markets.

DJ AI is a personal music guide that provides unique comments in between songs. This feature will compile a playlist based on the user's listening history.

In addition to favorite songs, DJ AI can also play back old song collections and introduce newly released songs. That way, users can feel the sensation of listening to a personal radio that is specially designed according to their tastes.

Spotify also introduced four new voice personas that represent each country. For example, characters Maïa for France and Ben for Germany are designed with different personalities.

Users can access this feature through the home page or the search bar in the application. They only need to press the DJ button to start a music session or change the language option through the settings menu.

Although still in beta, this feature is predicted to continue to evolve over time. Spotify will continue to collect feedback from users before launching its feature in a more stable version.
