Phil Foden Reportedly Reached a New Contract Deal at Manchester City

JAKARTA - Phil Foden has reached an agreement with Manchester City to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium.

Launching ESPN, the 25-year-old will sign a new contract until 2030, with an option for an additional 12 months. His current contract will expire in 2027.

Sources close to Foden and the club insist that the details still need to be ironed out, but are considered formalities.

Foden has been a part of Manchester City since the age of four and has made over 350 appearances in the first team. His new contract will keep him at the Etihad until past his 30th birthday.

The same source further revealed that Foden never thought of leaving Manchester City despite losing his place under Pep Guardiola this season.

He has not been a starter in an English League match since March 2025 and risks losing his place in the 2026 World Cup squad with the England National Team.
