Vicky Shu, who lost her voice a year after giving birth, recovered thanks to the hobby of Freedive

JAKARTA - Not many people know, singer Vicky Shu had a difficult time where she lost her singing ability for more than a year. This happened after she gave birth to her second child, where her voice quality decreased drastically.

"After giving birth, I lost my voice, it came back because I was diligent in practicing freediving. I don't know, maybe it's been a year or so that my voice couldn't sing," said Vicky Shu in the Warung Buncit area, not long ago.

This condition made Vicky feel very sad because her high tone was gone. "My voice is usually high-pitched singing, it really feels like it's going down, so the quality is also going down," he said.

Interestingly, the freediving activity that has become his long-term hobby has actually become a healing therapy. This diving sport without breathing aids requires extraordinary calmness and breath control techniques.

"The road must be right but freedive teaches breath and calmness. You can't panic because that's freedive. I want to start freediving again," said Vicky.

Vicky Shu is not an ordinary diver. He has the ability to dive deep enough even without an oxygen tank, an achievement that proves his physical strength.

"The last freedive was about 16 meters to the bottom," said Vicky proudly.

This extreme hobby is also acknowledged to help breathing when he is on land. After his weight dropped, Vicky felt his breathing was much more relieved than before.

"Yes, (now) the breath is more calm. I really like freediving. Freediving teaches you to breathe and be calm," he said again.

Although he is currently focusing on a weight loss program by walking, Vicky still plans to return to the sea in the near future in order to maintain his overall physical health.

"In the past I was very skinny, I was a hobby to eat. Now I really want to be healthy, a little thin. So I want to start freediving again," added Vicky Shu.

Vicky's success in returning her voice through freediving is proof that a positive hobby can have an extraordinary impact on the health of a singer's profession.

"Let's be positive! Because when we try to be positive, everything will definitely get it and it will feel to the husband, to the children, to the family," he concluded, giving motivation.
