Mensos Gus Ipul Forms a Team to Check the Procurement of People's Schools that are Controversial

JAKARTA - Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf formed a special team to study issues of procurement of goods and services at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) following information that became a polemic on social media.

"Today we are creating a special team to delve into procurement issues, which we know are in various news and social media," said Mensos, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 7.

His party appointed Deputy Minister of Social Affairs (Wamensos) Agus Jabo Priyono and Irjen Kemensos to lead the special team.

"I appoint Mr. Wamen and Mr. Irjen to conduct research, in-depth research, and get a complete picture of the issue of procurement of goods and services, especially the procurement of shoes for students of the People's School, and report it next week," said the Ministry of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf.

The formation of this special team, he said, is aimed at allowing the public to get a more complete picture of issues that are controversial on social media.

"So that we can get a clearer picture of the issues that have been developing on social media. Because the news is sometimes all true, sometimes half true," said the Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf.

Not only forming a special team, the Ministry of Social Affairs will also meet with the leadership of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Friday, May 8, 2026 morning for an audience and explain the procedures for procurement of goods and services at the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"We will have a meeting with the Minister, the Secretary-General, to ask for advice, ask for input. At the same time, we will also provide information about the procurement processes in the Ministry of Social Affairs," said the Ministry of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf.

One of them is information that will be conveyed to the KPK, he continued, is regarding the procurement of goods for the People's School program.
