Police Raid Factory of Etomidate Belonging to Chinese Citizen in Jakut
JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Metro Police Narcotics Unit has again developed a case of a factory or home industry that manufactures cartridges containing the narcotic type Etomidate in an apartment in North Jakarta.
From the results of development in two different locations, the police again seized a number of evidence of raw materials and Etomidate cartridges belonging to the suspect with the initials HC (51) who is a Chinese citizen.
"We developed the second crime scene, we found several empty cartridges that the suspect allegedly would use to fill the etomidate items. We also developed the third crime scene, where we found hundreds of etomidate that had been wrapped and ready to be distributed," said Head of Narcotics Investigation, North Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ari Galang Saputro to reporters, Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
In addition, the police also found 6 packages of raw materials for making etomidate.
"Furthermore, we also found the production tools used by the suspect to cook, to put so that the cartridge can be distributed," he said.
AKBP Ari Galang also said that the third crime scene was used by the suspect as a place to make etomidate, in an apartment unit in North Jakarta.
"This third crime scene was used by the suspect with the initials HC (51) for the home industry or the manufacture of etomidate," he added.
The apartment unit which was used as an etomidate factory was also inhabited by the suspect HC.
"According to the suspect's statement, he did sleep there and he also made it there. He has been carrying out this activity for quite some time, it has been the last few months," he said.
Currently, the North Jakarta Metro Police Satnarkoba is still determining one suspect with the initials HC related to the cartridge factory containing etomidate. The police are still hunting for other perpetrators.
"For the time being, there is still one suspect who has been arrested and we have already conducted an examination. We will continue to pursue other suspects," he said.
This disclosure began with the arrest of a Chinese citizen with the initials HC (51) by members of the North Jakarta Metro Police for the kidnapping of an underage woman with the initials AAW alias C (17) in an apartment in the Ancol area, Pademangan, North Jakarta.
In addition to being detained, the victim was also forced to use drugs and was almost raped by the Chinese national.
The victim managed to save himself because he was helped by the motorcycle taxi driver. The victim was able to safely exit the confinement room in the apartment.
After escaping from the kidnapping, the victim reported the incident to the North Jakarta Metro Police. The perpetrator with the initials HC was then arrested and found to be in possession of narcotics.
